As a system administrator you speak the language of our servers like no other. Together with your IT colleagues, you ensure that the existing IT environment is innovated and made more robust.

The DSG Digital department includes the IT Operations, Digital Commerce, and Digital Development and Data Management departments.

DSG’s Digital Development team is working on a multichannel E-commerce application (web and mobile app) based on the Intershop platform using Agile Scrum. In addition, the IT applications team works on all other applications within DSG.

The role of system administrator

As a system administrator you have a strong advisory role towards the organization. You are part of various projects at a technical level and are able to solve second-line problems and malfunctions when these cannot be solved by your first-line colleagues. You and colleagues from the first line also ensure that improvements are applied to the process. You always act as a sparring partner for your direct colleagues. 

The IT team (22 FTE) is characterized by a pleasant atmosphere in which everyone is willing to do their utmost. We are always there for each other with a healthy dose of humor. We are experts in our own field but are always willing to share knowledge with each other. We work together in a transition to the cloud through tasks in sprints to meet our goals in increasing the accessibility and availability of our customer. 
The team consists of system administrators, security specialists, application administrators, BI specialists, IT business partner, integration specialist developer and Service desk employees led by the IT manager. The IT landscape within DSG is broad, allowing knowledge to be shared or gathered in various areas.

You want this job because you…

• are already living in the Netherlands with 1-2 years of working experience within the Netherlands;
• have 3 to 5 years of experience in a role as a system administrator;
• have gained experience in troubleshooting;
• are proficient in the Dutch and/or English language;
• have knowledge of working with Microsoft Servers such as 2016, 2019 and VM Ware.
